Food Distribution Program

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Through our Food Distribution Program, Grateful Hearts serves vulnerable and marginalized populations in Los Angeles and Orange Counties focusing on ensuring that people who are in immediate need, are not food deprived.  Distributing up to 10,000 meals per month, Grateful Hearts is always in need of volunteers to provide services to the most vulnerable members of our community.  By volunteering a few hours of your time, you will help Grateful Hearts continue to pursue its mission of Providing Hope for the Hurting!

There are various activities that volunteers partake in during their volunteer time in our Food Distribution Program.  Those activities include:[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Sorting Donated Food

Volunteers help inspect, sort and pack perishable and non-perishable food for distribution by checking for expiration dates, discarding expired items, and maintaining the pantry area clean and organized.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Distributors/Client Assistant Distributors:

Volunteers assist with setting up our outdoor distribution.

Assist clients through the lines by checking them in for their appointments.

Deliver food to the clients’ vehicles.

 [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Warehouse Assistance

Volunteers may also help sorting & organizing warehouse donations as well as assist with other warehouse projects.
